“I always did it my own way, whatever ‘it’ is. I’ve done a lot of things I really wanted to do, Packer games, I left the country—took a road trip to Toronto. I loved just seeing a different country, even though it looked exactly like the Midwest.

I’d love to see Vegas, but getting there would be such a pain. I don’t trust the airlines not to break my chair. Maybe I’ll have to take another road trip.”

“I would be lost without my family. I’m a typical hard-headed guy; I’m stubborn. My mother keeps more of my negative traits in check. And my nieces—they make me want to be a better person. Their curiosity and love has influenced me the most. I want to be a good influence in their lives; I love them as if they were my own. I want people to know that I’m caring, even though sometimes I’m an asshole.”

“Can I be cliché for a minute? Just live and let live. Realize that you never really know what other people are going through. And people make a difference in what makes life interesting.”
